I just can't say enough good things about our experience with Clinton Automotive. We live in Kenai and were in Anchorage for a doctors appt. Our car wheel was smoking hot when we arrived. While in Dr. office I did a search for Car repairs... Clinton Auto came up first , so I called and they said bring it right over and we will get you back on the road. I was shocked that we were able to be seen so quickly! (I was expecting an overnight in Anchorage) They got us fixed up and back on the road in just a couple hours. Reasonable and top notch customer service. I wish I lived in Anchorage so I could take all my vehicles there!

Best Duramax diesel mechanic in town. This shop saved me money and did a much better job than both the dealership and “local diesel” shops in town. Quality work and great customer service. I talked with the owner and found out he has a background in both light and heavy duty diesel mechanics and a lot of experience working on Duramax’s. I highly recommend this shop if you want quality work for an honest price. This is the only place I will take my Duramax. Thanks!

What to say about Clinton Automotive... Let me start at the beginning. My "new" used buick encore was having issues shifting. I called this place randomly. I spoke to Taylor and he said bring it by. I did and I thank God I did. Turns out I needed an entire new engine thru their testing. It was devastating news to hear. I had a warranty thru the bank but idea what it covered. Taylor calmed my fears and said everything would be OK. Taylor and his dedicated team of qualified professionals went to work on my car and my claim. They handled everything and kept me updated thru the entire process. Taylor and his team fought for me through every step. I was so impressed and thankful. They got me the engine and got it installed. I just picked up my car. Clinton Automotive is closed on Fridays, But Taylor came in to finish my car. Taylor and his team are amazing!!!! I thank God for their experience and dedication to mechanics. I am just in awe of them. Thank you Clinton Automotive, thank you team. But mostly thank you Taylor you are my hero!!!

I recently had my truck’s heater repaired by Tom Sievers at Clinton Automotive, and I can’t recommend him highly enough. The job was a major undertaking — the entire interior, including the dashboard and center console, had to be removed to access and repair the issue. Despite the complexity, Tom handled everything with exceptional skill and professionalism. What stood out most was the excellent communication throughout the process. Tom kept me informed at every step, including photos of the disassembly and repair process, which gave me confidence that the job was being done thoroughly and correctly. He also completed the repair in a timely manner, which I really appreciated given how extensive the work was. To top it off, the pricing was very fair for the amount of labor involved. It’s rare to find a mechanic who is not only highly competent but also transparent and communicative. If you’re in Anchorage and need honest, high-quality automotive work, Tom Sievers at Clinton Automotive is absolutely worth your trust.

By far the best experience I have had with an auto shop. I called four different shops for estimates related to an engine misfire and Taylor was the most communicative and helpful, could get me in the soonest, and labor rates were on par with everybody else. They went out of their way and stayed open late one day just to get my vehicle back to me before I needed it to drive to Kenai for work. As a solo woman, I never felt like they were trying to take advantage or push unnecessary work. They even took the time to answer all my questions and teach me a bit about mechanics.100% would recommend and I wouldn't hesitate to take my car back for more work.

I waited post until now, my 3rd visit. I’ve had a front end repair/ alignment, brakes, electrical, diesel, belt service, and I’ve had absolutely now issues with the work, a friendly staff, the hourly rate may be on the higher end but you don’t get sold a bunch of crap. That’s worth something. They could’ve sold me a new turbo, but I was out and running with only one hour of labor.

We had a great experience with Clinton Automotive. From my initial phone call to discuss our vehicle maintenance needs, to the actual drop off, pick up and maintenance work, everything was a 10 out of 10! They had a brake special so we were able to have front and rear pads/rotors installed for $1000 less than Kendall Toyota quoted for our 4Runner. The guys were open and honest and made us feel welcome from the beginning. They listened to our concerns about being “ripped off” because we were women (you know how that goes) and assured us they were reputable. Reviews are everything and we are so glad we did our due diligence!! Thanks and we will return if we need any mechanical work in the future(fingers crossed we don’t lol). Highly recommend!!
